Wednesday Art

Todays art comes from a artist/fashion designer called Brooke Ahrendsen. She resides in Manhattan, and draws on influences from fashion, cute girls, and candy. Her work is a combination of hand drawings and photoshop. She also recently completed illustrating her fourth children's book.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I'm really into fashion, and photography. So when I come across a beautiful photo I usually save it. I came across this picture of Hilary Duff while on my favourite gossip blog (see below) and I just loved it.

I believe the reason why I loved it so much was because it is a picture of the profile of her face. Yes, she is a beautiful girl, but I've recently concluded that a person's profile is the most (externally) beautiful part of them.

Try it out the next time you meet someone, take a look at their profile and come to your own conclusion.

One of my favourite Canadian brands of all time is Soia & Kyo.

The brand is renowned for it's fabulous fit, detailing and out of the ordinary styling (oversized buttons, asymmetrical structured collars, and wide belts). It has a young, trendy, urban feel with a retro twist.

Being the proud owner of a gorgeous Soia & Kyo coat (from last fall's collection) I can say hands down it's the nicest article of clothing I own. I wish there were more options for purchasing them on the Island, but as it stands now Suasion is the only place in Victoria that carries the brand.

So peruse the website and fill your eye candy quotient for the day.

Lazy Sundays

So as far as today goes, it's been pretty lazy. I had a few hours to myself so I 'surfed the net'. Of course I went on over to my friends Corie and Stormey's blogs. Great blogs from both. Those girls definitely keep me entertained and I miss them like crazy.

I was wanting to plug another blog that I enjoy way too much for my own good. Dlisted may be the funniest blog I've come across in a long time. Michael K (the blog's creator) is both bitter, and cold blooded... and a complete genius.
