Super Stache Saturday

The oft criticized Bela

The infamous shot of Bela carrying an injured
Kerri Strug to the medal podium in 1996

As the Olympics are winding down, it got me thinking about the past years Olympics, which lead me to a man named Bela Karolyi.
For those who don't know who Bela is, he's probably one of the most talked about coaches of women's gymnastics. In 1996, he was the coach of USA's controversial gymnastics team, a team that seemed to gain more injuries then medals.
I don't condone his behavior in any way, but I can't deny a good moustache when I see one.

Eva Mendes.
On top of being insanely beautiful, she has great style. I found it hard for me to choose a limited number of outfits that she's worn, because they're all so unique in different ways. Plus, with her skin colour, she can pretty much wear anything flawlessly.
*sigh* I need a tan.

Monday Hottie

Taye Diggs.
I've been seeing a lot of him lately. He's currently in the show Private Practice (written and produced by Shonda Rhimes who does Grey's Anatomy) and I've been enjoying seeing him there.
Rent was on tv a few weeks back, which made me dig (no pun intended) out the soundtrack, and I've been playing it in my car ever since.
On top of being gorgeous, this man can sing. So can his wife Idina Menzel, who was in Rent as well. She has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, and has a recurring guest spot in some of the up coming episodes of Glee. Yay!

Super Stache Saturday

Stevie Wonder.
This man's music runs through my head on a constant basis. When I'm skeptical about something, I start humming 'Superstition', and when I'm thinking about how wonderful my friends are I start singing the song 'That's What Friends Are For.'
Stevie was recently featured in one of the funniest Super Bowl spots of 2010, the Volkswagen commercial. If you haven't seen it, click here to enjoy it.
Steve is such a talented singer, but talent only takes you so far, it's the moustache that carries you even further.

Monday Hottie

Paul Wesley.
I know someone who has been waiting a while for me to post this.
Along with his parter in crime from last week's MH, Ian Somerhalder, he plays a blood sucker in the enormously popular Vampire Diaries. He's definitely the reason I tune in every week.

Super Stache Saturday

It wouldn't be the Olympics without the cute little mascots.
And if you look closely, Miga is sporting a little cartoon stache, while Quatchi has a chin stache growing of his own.
Olympic fever has hit!

Quilted Jacket - $100.00

Men's/Women's Olympic Team Hoodie - $50.00

Men's/Women's Lamb's Wool Sweater - $350.00
Boy's/Girl's Lamb's Wool Sweater - $75.00

The Olympics are here! The Opening Ceremonies just happened, and Wayne Gretsky just light the torch. So exciting! I'm so proud that they're being held on the West Coast. It's hard to believe after all of this preparation they're finally here.
I think this is the first year in quite a while that the olympic apparel has looked really good too. If you're interested in purchasing any of the clothes, accessories you see on tv or on the internet go to the Official Vancouver 2010 Website Clothing Store. Some of the products are sold out, but I imagine they will be getting more in.
Very excited to tune in over the next 2 1/2 weeks. Good luck Canada.

Vancouver 2010 Red Mittens - $10.00

Love when Christy DeKoning paints watercolour pin-ups! She's so talented, and they always turn out so cute :)
This one was inspired by a picture of a friend.

Monday Hottie

Ian Somerhalder.
Born in Louisana, he started his career as a model at age 10. After a few years spent conquering the modeling world, he starred in his first tv show 'Young Americans' (a show that followed Dawson's Creek) in 2000, and his first movie 'Life As A House', in 2001. Since then his career has taken off and provided him with juicy roles in 'Lost', as Boone Carlyle, and the WB hit 'The Vampire Diaries' as Damon Salvatore.
This man is irrefutably gorgeous, and someone I look forward to hearing more about in the future.

Carlos Santana.
Heard one of his songs the other day, and honestly who doesn't like a good guitar riff and a solid moustache.
Thanks Carlos.

Lipstick Jungle.
I was thinking about this show last night. What initially caught my interest was the fabulous outfits the 3 main characters displayed on a weekly basis. The show was canceled, it lasted 2 seasons, and unfortunately the viewers couldn't hold on. That doesn't stop me from watching old episodes and dreaming of the fabulous wardrobe I will have, inspired from the ladies of Lipstick Jungle.

Whose style is your favourite?

Retro Style

Kate Mara.
Cute as a button, in very sheer undergarments, Kate has had small parts in Brokeback Mountain and the tv show 24 to name a few. She will appear in Iron Man 2, the sequel to Iron Man (obv), coming out this year.

Spring, Sprang, Sprung

Today was beautiful. The sun was shining, a warm breeze was blowing, I'm so looking forward to summer I can't stand it! All I wanted to do today was lie down underneath a beautiful cherry blossom tree and soak up the blue sky and warm air.
It's so close I can taste it.

Monday Hottie

Jack

Charlie

Dusting off the computer for another Monday Hottie.
Today is all about two of my favourite Lost hotties returning this season, Jack Sawyer (played by Matthew Fox) and Charlie Pace (played by Dominic Monaghan).
I'm looking forward to this final season of Lost (that starts tomorrow night) to see how the many many questions brought along with the show are all answered. If you're a Lost fan, I recommend tuning into the last few episodes, and if you're not... good luck trying to figure out anything happening in the show, because you'll be wrong. Start from the beginning, you'll thank me later.

PS And yes, I am a Jack and Kate fan.
