Walk for a Cure

This August I'm walking (with my friend Nina) in the Weekend To End Women's Cancers. It's a 60k walk around the city of Vancouver, over 2 days, and the purpose of it is to raise money and awareness for Women's Cancers, with Breast Cancer being one of the most prominently featured.

I've done this walk before, and the feeling you get from accomplishing this is something I will hold with me for the rest of my life. I am more then excited to embark on this journey with a close friend of mine, and take in the scenery of the beautiful Lower Mainland.

I have to do a bunch of training leading up to it, and I've started walking 3 - 5k 2 times a week. It's a little tough to fit it in with work and school schedule, but I've managed. I know the closer I get to the Weekend, the more motivated I will feel.

In order to partake in this walk, I have to raise at least $2,000 (although I have set my goal to $3,000). If you're interested in donating please click here.

For those of you who read my blog (or those who just happened to come across it), I'm throwing some positive energy out to you. In hopes that you see/read this, and decide to help me towards my goal. If you're not personally affected by it, maybe you know someone who is. Please pass the idea along to them.

I will be walking for my Aunt (who is a 3 time cancer survivor) and in memory of my Uncle and Father (who I miss every day).

Monday Hottie

Thank you Armani!
David Beckham.
Today's post is in honor of my friend Allegra's birthday, which took place a little over a week ago. I happen to know that this English Footballer is one of her favourites, and I can appreciate beauty when I see it.
Unfortunately Beckham suffered a pretty severe injury that will sideline him for over 6 months, but that doesn't mean we still can't take advantage of his good looks. I'm sure he will be attending a game or two alongside his fashionable wife, Posh.

Super Stache Saturday

Mister Geppetto.
Geppetto plays the main character in The Adventures of Pinocchio, who carves a boy out of wood and brings him to life. While Geppetto and Pinocchio laugh and dance around the screen, so does Mister Geppetto's sweet little moustache. Another Disney 'stache classic.

More like Model Envy... I Love Heidi Klum. The more I see and hear from her, the more I love her. She's hilarious, gorgeous, has a great sense of humour, has the one of the strongest relationships in hollywood, and continues to have a successful career, as well as being a supermodel, after giving birth to 4 kids!
Dear Heidi Klum,
In my next life I will be you.
Love,

Cherry Blossoms 2.0

I love cherry blossoms, and this picture of the sun setting and the lights coming on at the Delta Victoria Ocean Point Resort and Spa is just stunning.
It was taken a few days ago by Benjamin over at Victoria Daily Photo. He captures the most detailed, beautiful photos of things I wouldn't even think of.
Lovely.

Saab Sanctuary

Lebanese designer Elie Saab

Can't have too many candles

Stunning bedroom

Architectural Design Magazine featured my favourite designer, Elie Saab, at his Paris home.
I knew the man had exquisite taste in fashion design, and his home reflects that.
With help from architect Chakib Richani, his home showcases enormous floor to ceiling space, attention grabbing flower arrangements in every room, and too many candles to count. All of which create a romantic and serene environment for one of the busiest fashion designers around.

Monday Hottie

I watched SNL on Saturday night out of sheer boredom, and Jude Law happened to be hosting. I had forgotten how delicious his accent was, and parts of it were quite funny.
I seriously need to take a long trip to London, and maybe forget to buy a return ticket.

Super Stache Saturday

Last weekend I happened to tune into Saturday Night Live, and I'm glad I did because Zach Galifinakis was the host. Funniest SNL I've seen in a long time.
Starting with the opening monologue and ending with a skit where he has a moustache!
If you happened to have missed the show, I urge you to check out Zach's series of videos for Funny Or Die called 'Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifinakis'. It kills me!

High Fashion In Heaven

Favourite short looks

Favourite long looks

Alexander McQueen has never been my favourite designer, but he's always intrigued me. Much like John Galliano he likes to push the boundaries between real and surreal.
I came across an article written about his Paris Fashion Week final presentation. His collection was supposed to make it's way down the runway, but considering the circumstances, his company decided to forgo the runway for an intimate show. To say his last collection is incredible is an understatement. His unique vision is something that will live on forever.
RIP Mr. McQueen.

Final Dress, stunning

The 2010 Olympics came to a close last night, and it was one to remember. I'm definitely proud to be Canadian, more so than ever before.
I thought I would take advantage of this and post some of the Hotties from our Canadian team.
Who was your favourite Canadian Hottie? Or who was your favourite Olympic Hottie?
