Monday Hottie

To go along with last Monday's hottie, his pal on Gossip Girl Ed Westwick.
While I have never found Ed to be in the super hot category, the steamy photoshoot he recently did for GQ changed my mind a little bit. Good decision Ed.

Style Envy

casual

dressy - light

dressy - dark

It's that time of the week again, when I post about someone with fabulous style.
Kate Beckensale. This woman knows how to dress. Wether it's a red carpet event, or on a casual Saturday afternoon stroll with her husband and daughter Lily. She still knows how to bring the glamour in jeans, but I guess being friends with Victoria Beckham will do that to a woman.
I had a hard time deciding which of Kate's outfits were my favourite, so I've provided more than enough pictures to keep your eyes busy. (My personal favourite out of all of them, is the middle outfit in white).

50's Style

Teresa Palmer. Not too much is known about her, and her most famous role to date was in Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler.
I must say, she does look very stylish in plaid. A little American Beauty-esque.

Monday Hottie

Since my sleeping patterns have been so random lately I figured that technically it's Monday, so here's your hottie.
Chace Crawford. What can I say? He's beautiful. And was just named People Magazine's 'Hottest Bachelor' for 2009. I'm definitely looking forward to picking up my copy.

Super Stache Saturday

Since I forgot to post a man with a moustache last Saturday, today you get 2 moustaches for the price of one!
Mario and Luigi just might be the most famous moustached men in history. Mario was created in 1981 for the game Donkey Kong, while his brother Luigi was created in 1982 for Mario Brothers.
Side Note: If it's called Mario Brothers, does that mean their names are Mario Mario and Luigi Mario?
And according to the television series and film, Mario and Luigi are originally from Brooklyn. Which doesn't surprise me seeing their upper lip covers.
All this talk has given me a sudden urge to go play a serious game of Mario Kart.

Style Envy

It's been a few weeks since I've posted a style envy. I need some style!
Zooey Deschanel. Besides being utterly fantastic, she's really stylish too. She seems to have an aversion to showing her legs. Or maybe it's just a love of tights. But either way, she finds a cute way to tie them into her wardrobe.
From girly dresses to shorts and high heels, she may very well have the cutest style in Hollywood. I look forward to her making more movies, so I can see what she decides to wear to the premieres.

And if you're ever in desperate need of style. My good friend Tanya has a blog and she regularly posts about stylish people. She even posted a boy! What a concept. I might have to try that one out sometime ;)

50's Style

Vinessa Shaw. Not too much is known about her, she's had a few small parts in some well known movies.
But look at how adorable she looks all made up in that cute vintage shirtdress and relaxing on that beautiful car.

Monday Hottie

For the record, I had a hard time trying to find a picture of this guy with a shirt on... not that I'm complaining, but he's more well known for his body than his body of work.
Robert Buckley, this sometimes actor, always hottie has had slew of guest starring roles on a some popular TV shows (including a personal favourite, Lipstick Jungle) and is about to add to the list. The latest news is that he's joining the cast of One Tree Hill come the fall.
It will definitely be nice to see him on my TV screen again.

50's Style

If you've been a follower of my blog you've probably noticed that I've featured a few ladies (Dita Von Teese, Christina Aguilera) who fight right into this category.
If I were born in another decade I would choose the 50's hands down.
For the next few weeks I will feature pictures of some famous faces in 50's style pinup shots. I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I do.

Monday Hottie

Neil Patrick Harris. He hosted the Tony Awards last night, and is a gorgeous man altogether.
He's most famously known for Doogie Howser: MD, playing Doogie. And according to Wikipedia, he's a magician. Who knew?
While we celebrate the beauty that is NPH, take a look at the spoof picture of the Olympic swimming team that the guys from How I Met Your Mother made. Too funny!
L-R: Jason Segel, Josh Radnor, Neil Patrick Harris

Super Stache Saturday

Charlie Chaplin. One of the most famous actors of his time. He was a silent film star and won a few oscars for his work.
Probably one of the smaller moustaches I'm going to feature, but still a great one.

Wednesday Art

It's been a while since I've posted during the week. I just got a new job, so I have more regular hours. Yay!
Today's post comes courtesy of a musical duo from Mali. Amadou & Miriam, known as 'the blind couple from Mali', met at Mali's Institute for the Young Blind. Through their love of music, and each other, they decided to team up and start making beautiful sounds.
I was introduced to their music by a friend, and it's just so positive. Even though I can't understand most of it (it's in French) it's hard to stop listening to it.
I really recommend having a listen if you have a few minutes.
I've included two links to songs on youtube.
